Grab a brush and join us for a fun, hands-on painting workshop all about tea sets! In this class, students will paint cups, saucers, and teapots while learning how to accurately paint symmetrical objects. If you've ever painted a cup or other round object and it looked off, you'll learn all the reasons why and how to avoid that in this workshop.

Along the way, we’ll unlock the secrets of ellipses: how to see them, shape them, and paint them so cups actually look round (and not tippy). Through guided demos, simple exercises, and plenty of personal feedback, students will build confidence, sharpen observation skills, and leave with a solid understanding of symmetry and ellipses they can use in all their future artwork.

No experience required—just curiosity and a love of painting!

Please note that the drawing portion of this workshop is being given for FREE on Art School Live with Eric Rhoads, which you can view here: https://www.youtube.com/@artschoollive/streams

This workshop is the natural extension of that drawing lesson into painting. It is strongly recommended that you watch the drawing lesson before attending this workshop.

Students will have the opportunity to receive personal feedback on their drawings and paintings in this workshop.

A zoom link will be sent to all attendees the morning of the workshop.

This workshop is limited to 30 participants to ensure a quality learning experience for all.

A recording of the workshop will be sent to students following the workshop.
